We decided to rename Tahiti. His new name is Mocha (or Mochaccino or Mocha Bear or just Bear). We love him so much. He seems to have adjusted very well to his new home. Kuma has been well while he has been with us. He and our other cat THOR often play together, but sometimes have domination struggles. They often like hanging out in the same room, especially when something interesting is happening. Kuma really likes hanging out with people and will often sleep on top of us. I adopted Honey the sweet sleek Russian Blue Kitty! She now goes by the name of Indigo and is as happy as can be! We received a fantastic update on one of our great success stories. Danny, now called Owen, came to us when a Kitty Connection volunteer literally picked him up off the street. We unfortunately had to remove his eyes which were non-functioning at that point, but Sara took Danny in and adopted him! Owen is doing great. He’s the most wonderful little guy – not sure what I’d do without him.
From Monster’s parents, Aga and Shaul: Maybe Monster is small but he has a huge heart. Things come to him slowly (it took a year to get him house trained), he is rambunctious (try getting him to come during a walk). Monster is stubborn, even the trainer at the 101 class could not get him to act properly. He is wimpy, trash barrels and flying plastic bags scare him. He
It’s been a year since we lost our 23 year old kitty, and almost a year since we rescued Crookshanks (Roy). Beautiful, strong orange tabby. Broken toothed, pieces of ear missing, battle scars everywhere, FIV+, terrible digestive issues, wounds on his neck from nervous scratching, living for the first three months wearing the “Cone of Shame”. He’s still not 100% certain we will keep his food dish full or that we will open the door
Zoe’s mom was found abandoned outside and you all at Kitty Connection found her a foster home where she gave birth to Zoe (formerly Meeko). The first time I met her she climbed up my jean pant leg, hopped off to run around with her siblings then came back over to me and fall asleep in my lap. We’ve been best friends ever since the day I brought her home.
It’s been over a year now & Simba is doing great. He’s happy, healthy & enjoying life. Thank you Marie.
