Urgent: Transportation Volunteers Needed
Kitty Connection urgently needs transportation volunteers, and this role directly impacts how many cats we can save. If we can’t get cats to veterinary appointments, we can’t take them in.
This is a meaningful way to help, especially if you:
- Are retired or semi-retired
- Have a flexible work schedule
- Work remotely and can fit in drop-offs or pickups
- Love animals and want to be part of a rescue community
What transportation volunteers do
- Surgery Transport (drop-off/pick-up)
- Vet Appointment Support (stay during exam, transport back)
Transportation help is needed across Greater Boston and beyond, including:
- Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, North Grafton, MA
- Lowell Humane Society, Lowell
- Love Is Life Veterinary Clinic, Franklin
- East Boston Animal Hospital, East Boston
- MetroVet Veterinary Clinic, Jamaica Plain
- Medford, Winchester, Charlestown, and Revere
There are even occasional weekend appointments for volunteers who can help then.
