At just one year old, Helen has already proven that she has the heart of a warrior… and the soul of a mama.
Helen was rescued from a cat hoarding situation along with three tiny, one-week-old kittens. Rumor has it, those kittens weren’t even hers! But this young lady saw three babies who needed a mama and decided, “Well, I guess I’m a mom now.”
And what a mama she was.
Helen groomed them, taught them how to wrestle, patiently tolerated them pouncing on her while she slept, and even let them nibble on her feet. Most incredibly, she began lactating so she could nurse them. She stepped up when they needed her most and gave those babies everything she had.
But her kittens have officially left the coop, and now it’s Helen’s turn to find the forever home she deserves.
Helen is:
One year old
Friendly with other cats — she is not aggressive and would love to have a friendly feline companion
An absolute PLAY MACHINE — this girl zooms after toys like a shadow at the speed of light!
Particularly obsessed with fuzzy worm toys, which she proudly carries around and even uses to decorate her food bowl
A big fan of pets and being wherever her people are
Still learning that being held is okay — she isn’t quite there yet, but she’s making progress!
Helen may not be a lap cat just yet, but she has so much love to give. She wants to be near her people, play with her toys, and be part of the action. After everything she’s done for her babies, this sweet girl deserves someone who will be patient with her and show her what it feels like to be spoiled.
She gave three babies their happy ending.
Now it’s Helen’s turn.

Give this little mama a chance at her forever home. She’s ready for her happily ever after.

*Helen of Troy is waiting for you.
