We’re sweet, bonded sisters who are a year and a half old and who have been through a lot together, and now we’re hoping to find the family who will show us what forever really means. ❤️
Our previous owners sold their house and moved away, leaving us behind. We didn’t understand where they went, so we stayed near the only home we knew, probably wondering when they would come back for us.
Thankfully, the wonderful people who bought the house realized that we must belong there. Neighbors confirmed that we had lived in the home, and when it became clear that no one was coming back for us, our new human friends knew we needed help. They had a dog and were worried we might become frightened and take off once they moved in, so they contacted Kitty Connection to make sure we were safe.
And that’s how we got our second chance. 🐱🐱
I’m Ash, the pretty dilute tortie. I’m the more outgoing sister and tend to settle into new places a little faster. I love being held, getting pets, and soaking up attention from my humans.
And I’m Slate. I’m a sweet girl too, but I’m still recovering from everything we’ve been through. I absolutely love being petted once I feel safe, but when things change or seem scary, my first instinct is to find a cozy hiding place. I just need someone patient who will give me the time I need to realize I’m finally home.
We’ve even spent time playing with a 12-year-old boy who came to visit, and we both did great with him!
Most of all, we love each other and hope we can stay together. After losing the home and people we once knew, having each other has been our constant.
Now we’re looking for something pretty simple: a safe home, kind humans we can trust, lots of love, and the promise that this time, when someone tells us we’re home, they mean forever. ❤️
