Hi! I’m a beautiful 2-year-old black kitty with quite a story to tell. 🖤
In early August, I suddenly appeared as a stray in the Inman Square area. No one knew where I came from, and despite calls to local Animal Control and posts trying to find my family, no one came looking for me.
At first, I was very scared and skittish. I wanted to trust the kind people who were feeding me, but I wasn’t quite sure how. Then one day they found me hiding under their car, meowing and trying to work up the courage to come closer.
Little by little, I did. ❤️
First I started sitting with them on the porch. Then I discovered that being inside was actually pretty wonderful. I knew exactly how to use a litter box, and it quickly became clear that indoor life—and being loved by people—wasn’t new to me.
And you should see me now!
In just a few weeks, I’ve gone from a frightened girl hiding outside to a lap cat and certified couch queen. 👑 I’m extremely affectionate and gentle, and I haven’t bitten, scratched, or caused any trouble in my foster home.
Most of all, I really love being with my people. I’ll follow you from room to room just to see what you’re doing, curl up with you on the couch, and often sleep at the foot of the bed at night. I’m also quite the conversationalist, especially when dinner is involved or when I’m wondering where you disappeared to!
I recently had a veterinary checkup and am a healthy young girl, estimated to be around 2–3 years old, and I’ve received my initial vaccinations. Now I’m living safely indoors and getting more comfortable every day.
My foster family says I would make a wonderful addition to the right home. Considering how far I’ve come in such a short time, I think they’re right. 🥰
I went from hiding under a car to sleeping at the foot of a bed. Now there’s just one more place I’d like to find…
