Dreidel

Hi! My name is Dreidel, and I’m a handsome 3½-year-old boy with a pretty incredible story. ❤️

I started my life as a tiny kitten on the streets of Jerusalem, where I was rescued before eventually making the very big journey all the way to Boston. Now, through no fault of my own, I’m looking for the final stop in my adventure: a forever home.

For a long time, I lived happily with another cat and we were very bonded. But when a new baby joined our family, the changes in my home were harder for me to adjust to than anyone expected. The stress changed the relationship between us cats, and sadly, we have started fighting.

My family has tried everything they can to help us get back to the way things were, but it has become clear that I would be happier in a different environment. They love me very much and want to find the home where I can truly thrive.

So, let me tell you a little about the real Dreidel! 🐾

I’m a big boy at 17½ pounds with a big personality to match. I’m smart, curious, vocal, playful, and very food motivated—which also makes me quite trainable! I love to play and need regular exercise, interactive playtime, and enrichment to keep my clever brain and body busy.

I can be a little jumpy at times, so I appreciate a home where life is relatively calm, predictable, and consistent. Once I’m comfortable, I have a wonderfully balanced personality. I’m independent when I want to be, but I also enjoy affection and love to cuddle on my terms.

Because I seem to be sensitive to major changes in my environment, my ideal match would be a mature household without babies or plans to add young children in the future, where I can settle in and know what to expect.

I have successfully lived with another cat in the past, so another compatible kitty may be possible with a thoughtful introduction and the right match. I haven’t lived with dogs, so we don’t know how I’d feel about them yet.

I’ve already traveled halfway around the world and been very loved along the way. Now I just need a home where I can finally put down my paws and stay. ❤️

Could you be my happily-ever-after?
