Luna

🐾 Hi, I’m Luna, and I need a new beginning. 💔

My name is Luna, I’m 3 years old, and lately my little world has changed in ways I don’t understand.

My dad recently passed away. 💔 My mom loves me very much, but with the rising cost of living, she can no longer stay in our home. She has to move in with her children, and they already have pets of their own.

And me? Well… I really prefer being the only girl in the house. 👑

So now my mom has to do something that is breaking her heart: find me a new family by the end of the month.

Let me tell you a little about myself.

Before I found my family, I was a stray and even had babies of my own. I’ve been through a lot, so I know what I like and what I don’t. I’m an independent lady with a very sweet side.

I’m not really a lap cat, and belly rubs are definitely not part of our friendship agreement. 😹 But when it’s bedtime? That’s different. I love snuggling up in bed and pressing myself right against my mom. That’s my way of saying, “You’re my person.”

I’m also quite the welcoming committee. When new people come over, I’ll greet them and rub against them to say hello. And yes, I’m a little chunky. I blame the Temptations treats. Those things are DELICIOUS, and apparently I’ve been told there is such a thing as “too many.” I remain unconvinced.

I LOVE to play, especially with laser lights, and I have my very own box full of toys that I’d love to bring to my new home. I’m also a serious mouse hunter, so if you have any uninvited tiny guests, I may be willing to discuss employment. 🐭

I prefer wet food twice a day in small portions, and if you really want to impress me, serve it chilled. I’ll eat dry food, but wet food is where my heart is.

I can get scared by loud noises like cars and fireworks, so my dream would be a quiet, peaceful home with someone who will let me settle in and be myself.

Because I had to survive on my own before finding my family, I sometimes communicate my boundaries with a warning nip or scratch. I’m not trying to be mean. I’m just a girl who knows when she’s had enough and needs a human who will respect my signals.

Could I possibly live with another cat? Maybe, with a patient introduction and the right personality match. I may be disagreeable about the idea at first because, as I mentioned, I’m rather fond of being the queen of my castle. 👑 Ideally, I’d love a home where I can be your one and only.

I’ve already lost my dad, and soon I’m going to lose the only home I know. My mom desperately wants to know that when she has to say goodbye to me, someone else will be there to say:

“It’s okay, Luna. You’re home.”

I have so much personality, playfulness, and love left to give. I just need someone willing to give a slightly sassy, sweet, independent girl her second chance.

I need a home by the end of the month. 🏡❤️

Please share my story. My person might be someone you know.

Love,
Luna 🐾
