Big Nick (Courtesy Post)

Eight-year-old big boy Nick lost his home and had his life turned upside-down when the person he belonged to died.  No one in the family was willing to take him, so now he needs a home.

He arrived in his foster home frightened and disoriented, but he has shown himself to be quite a friendly boy by responding to petting with a hearty purr.  We have not observed him with dogs or kids; we think he would do well with kids who know how to treat a cat respectfully.  We know that he did not get along with the other cat in his previous home, so he should be the sole feline king of his castle. Nick would do best in an interactive home where he would not be left unaccompanied for long periods of time.  He seems to be an easy cat who would be suitable for a sufficiently patient first-time adopter.

He has been:
– neutered
– given rabies and distemper vaccinations
– tested negative for FeLV and FIV
– treated for worms and fleas
– tested negative for internal parasites.

His adopter will receive his medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need.  His adoption fee is a mere $75– a bargain for a new best friend who will love you with all his heart for the rest of his life.  He’s being fostered in Brighton.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to him and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide for him, as we try to match people with the right cats.
