Hoover

Hoover came to us as a matted, shy, grumpy foster cat. Once he realized there were no other cats around in our house, he started to settle in, but nobody was interested in adopting him. With every passing month, he grew more playful and loving with us, yet still was getting passed over by potential adopters. Eventually we realized we wanted this silly fluffy thing around permanently. His mats have been shaved off and he now enjoys being petted (which is great because his fur is super-soft!). He’s happiest when both Mom and Dad are home and has become much more interactive in his play, jumping after his cat dancer toy and begging to be chased. He greets us at the door every evening and sleeps on the bed with us every night. We’re so happy we took a chance on this big guy. Please consider adopting an older, less-popular cat — watching them come out of their shell and bond with you out of gratitude is incredibly rewarding. (And yes, that’s him in the banner at the top of the page!)
