Dear Jillian and Marie, I hope you don’t mind my writing you together, but, as you had both inquired as to how Meeko and Angel were doing, it seemed practical. It took Meeko all of about five minutes to adjust, and, on the first full day, he had established himself as king of the house. He loves having four floors to roam and has tried out every rug, bed, and chair in the house though he has his favorites for napping following the sun. He leaps onto the kitchen stools and keeps me company cooking and sits behind me on my computer chair. He’s my new best friend. He’s getting lots of exercise chasing after the laser pointer and strings with cat toys. Angel likes those, too, and will join Meeko in play. She does let us and our cat-friendly friend pet her before running off. However, she is still quite skittish and does hide part of the time, usually under the bed. Angel cries/whines from time to time as if she misses you. Thanks for writing. Best,
