Hi there! My name is Fish, and I’m looking for my forever home.
I’ve been around people my whole life, and I’ve never met a lap I didn’t want to climb into. I’m a 5-year-old energetic, playful, and very social boy. I’ll rub against your legs to say hello, and I’m not scared of anyone, big or small. Kids and I get along great, and I’d love a home with a few young ones to chase me around. I think I’d even get along with a dog. I’d also be happy as an only cat, but if you have a buddy for me, I’d be thrilled.
I eat with my paws sometimes, probably because I’ve watched my humans eat for years. I’m small and lean, and I do best with food available throughout the day.
I should be honest about my sneezes. I have feline herpes, which means I sneeze a lot and sometimes my nose gets runny. Most of the time, I’m a perfectly healthy and happy cat. Some days I need a little extra help: my humans use pheromones, allergy medicine (Zyrtec), and a saline nebulizer treatment that I actually tolerate pretty well. It helps me clear out for a few hours to a day. I also had some teeth removed because I breathe through my mouth, and I’m doing much better now.
I’m not a fan of the vacuum, so please keep that away from me. I can handle being alone for a few hours, but I’d be happiest in a home where someone is around for much of the day. I’d also do best with more room than a small apartment. I’ve been really unhappy in tight spaces, and I’d love a home where I can stretch out, explore, and play.
I’m ready to be someone’s best friend. If you have room in your heart and home for a sneezy, cuddly, playful guy, I’d love to meet you!
