Pearl (Courtesy Post)

My name is Pearl and I’m a sweet girl, only about five months old, so I’m still very much a kitten. I was rescued as an abandoned stray. I’ll admit that I didn’t take well to humans at first, and I’m still kind of shy, but my foster mom says I’ve made a lot of progress. I’ll purr when I’m pet, and I’ll even eat liquid treats out of her hands. I love to play with pole toys. I’m still a bit shy at first, so it’ll be a while before I become the kitten who rubs against your leg, but I’ll be worth it. I love to play and I love to be pet. Once I figured out my foster mom was nice to me, I became much more relaxed and friendly. She notices that I’m more shy with people when I’m also around other cats, so I’m the rare kitten who would do best as the only cat in my adoptive home as long as I get lots of playtime and attention. I would not do well left unaccompanied for long hours. I would be perfectly fine adopted by a first-time adopter sufficiently patient to allow me enough time to figure things out. I’m very cute and you would have to be out of your mind not to want to adopt me.

My foster mom will travel soon, so my adoption fee has been reduced to get me adopted before that happens. I’m a spayed female, my shots are up to date, and I have tested negative for FIV and FeLV. I’m being fostered in Allston.
