🚨 EMERGENCY FOSTER (OR FUTURE ADOPTER) NEEDED FOR GOLDIE 🚨

We need your help for sweet Goldie 💛

Her current foster will be away for the summer, and we’re urgently looking for someone to open their home to her during that time. Goldie is a loving, deserving girl who just needs a safe place to land.

Even better: we would LOVE to find someone willing to foster with the intention of adopting if it’s a great fit. This could be her chance at a forever home 🐾

✅ Can you foster Goldie this summer?
✅ Thinking about adopting? This could be the perfect match

Hi, I’m Goldie and I’m hoping to bring a little sunshine into your quiet home!

Hello! I’m Goldie, a 2½‑year‑old orange tabby with snowy white patches. I’ve had a tough start in life, so I take a little Prozac (given in liquid form) to help my me feel steady and secure. Don’t worry — I’m very good about taking it when you mix it into my wet food. I eat every bite.

But between you and me? Dry food is the true love of my life.

My Foster Parents Say:

I’ve made amazing progress. I’m proud of myself, too!
I have excellent litter‑box manners. I like routine, calm spaces, and humans who understand that sometimes a girl needs a little room to settle in.

My Favorite Hobbies:

  • Bird‑watching and “hunting” from my window throne
  • Doing short bursts of playtime (I’m an Olympic sprinter, not a marathoner)
  • Rolling onto my back and showing off my fuzzy belly
    • Sometimes you can rub it
    • Sometimes you cannot
    • I will not be providing a schedule
  • Sitting in the same room as you because I like your company
  • Coming when you call me and inspecting everything you’re doing (yes, I’m that kind of cat and I need to be in the know!)
  • Curling up on the couch near you… or in your bed… or in any cardboard box you leave lying around

My Dream Home:

I would thrive in a quiet, peaceful home with no other pets. I’m a sensitive girl, and I need a patient, experienced cat person who understands that while I am VERY cute and make adorable little meows…

I also need space and time to feel safe.

Once I trust you, I’ll follow you around, hang out near you, and maybe even present my extremely precious belly for admiration.

So… Want to Love a Cat Who’s Soft, Silly, Sweet, and a Little Bit Special?

If you’re looking for a companion who will adore being near you, come when called, nap in boxes, watch the world with curiosity, and bloom beautifully with patience and kindness…

I think that companion might be me.
Love,
Goldie

P.S. After a month in my foster home (as of 3/28/26), I’m doing so well. You can pick me up now and I’ll start purring, which is a big deal for me. I still get scared sometimes and I’m not always in the mood for pets, but I do want to be near you. I’ll follow you around the house like your slightly anxious little supervisor and keep track of everything you’re doing.

I also have a playful side and I really need daily playtime to help me feel my best. Wand toys and stick toys are my favorite, and I love to run back and forth hunting my toy mice like a tiny athlete.

I’m a little quirky, a little dramatic, and definitely my own person, but I’m getting braver every day. In a quiet, loving forever home, I truly believe I’ll keep blossoming and could even be weaned off my Prozac with time and patience.

P.P.S. May 5th Update  (Goldie’s Ongoing Glow-Up Era)

Hello, loyal followers. It is I, Goldie.

I have continued my brave journey and would like it noted that I am, in fact, getting more comfortable every single day. This is a big deal. Please hold your applause.

Lately, I have been seeking out affection. Yes. On purpose. I will come sit near you, follow you around like your confident, slightly nosey little supervisor, and sometimes even request pets. (Timing and location of said pets remain a surprise. Stay alert.)

Also… I sleep in bed now. With my person. Like a tiny, orange, emotionally complex loaf. This means you may wake up to find me nearby, keeping watch, or gently supervising your sleep schedule. You’re welcome.

I still love my personal space and quiet time, but I’m choosing connection more and more. I want to be near you. I like being near you. I’m just doing it in my own Goldie way, which is equal parts sweet, self-assured, and a little bit dramatic.

Playtime is also extremely important. I have been honing my skills as a Professional Toy Hunter and will sprint after wand toys like my career depends on it (it does).

The truth is… I’m a sensitive girl who just needed time to feel safe. And now that I’m starting to feel that safety, I’m opening up. Bit by bit, day by day.

If you’re someone who understands that the most meaningful bonds take a little patience… if you want the kind of cat who chooses you, who learns to trust you, who slowly blossoms into your shadow, your companion…

…I might be your girl.

Love,
Goldie 🧡
(Braver. Softer. Confident. A little nosey.)
