Heavy

Heavy is a big, three-year-old boy who lives up to his name.  No, he’s not fat, but he’s definitely a big boy.  It took him a while to open up to his foster dad, but he seems to have a thing for the ladies, as he enjoys being pet by his foster mom.  Heavy is one of four cats who belonged to someone who died.  While they get along with each other, they do not appear to be bonded and can be adopted separately.

Heavy should be adopted into an interactive home where he will not be unaccompanied for long periods of time.  He definitely has a history of getting along with other cats, but we have not observed him with dogs or kids.  We suspect he’d do well with older kids who know how to treat cats respectfully.  Heavy is an easy cat who would be suitable for a (preferably female) first-time adopter with sufficient patience to let him adapt.

Heavy has been neutered, given rabies and distemper vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas.  His adopter will receive his medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need.    He’s being fostered in North Reading.
