Kitty Connection Silent Auction is November 12

Enjoy a buffet dinner, live music and a fun night out while helping pets in need

MEDFORD – November 4, 2022 – Kitty Connection, an all-volunteer non-profit dedicated to rescuing and finding safe, loving homes for local cats and dogs, will hold its annual Silent Auction on Saturday, November 12 at St. Joseph’s Parish Center, 114 High Street, Medford.

“Each year, we are so grateful to people who come out to help make our auctions a success for the animals who depend on Kitty Connection,” said Kitty Connection President Marie Mazzeo. “The funds we raise on November 12 will enable our volunteers to continue caring for pets in need and help them find new forever families. Unfortunately, the number of homeless, abandoned, and unwanted pets in our community remains a challenge. We’re hopeful this year’s Silent Auction will go a long way toward helping to meet these needs.”

Kitty Connection annually rescues more than 450 homeless animals and funds over 375 spay and neuter procedures for pet owners in need. Volunteers provide foster homes for animals until they are adopted, and Kitty Connection ensures that pets are spayed/neutered, tested for common illnesses, and vaccinated before they go to their new homes. Kitty Connection also provides community education and outreach about the importance of responsible pet ownership.

Kitty Connection’s 2022 Silent Auction will feature a buffet dinner, raffle items and door prizes, and an array of pet-centric gifts and other items for bidding. One lucky auction winner will walk away with a complimentary two-night stay with breakfast for two at the Battery Wharf Hotel in Boston, valued at $1,250. Doors for the November 12 event will open at 6 p.m., and bidding will begin at 6:30 p.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.

The evening will also include live music by local entertainers Duo Forte. The group comprises soprano Lisa Giannetti, a versatile singer who has performed with a local a cappella choir invited to sing in Vienna and Prague as part of Beethoven’s 150th birthday celebration, and guitarist Mike Natsis, who has led or performed with several pop, rock, blues, jazz and R&B bands throughout Massachusetts. Giannetti and Natsis will perform songs by an eclectic range of artists – from Patsy Cline and Carole King to Bonnie Raitt, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, and Lady Gaga.
