Adoption pending! Hi, my name is Royal Elijah but all my friends call me Elijah for short. I am a 2 yr. old, 4 lb. Chihuahua. My story is unfortunately rather sad; I was surrendered to a shelter and came in very underweight and afraid of everyone. If you even came near me I cried out and would shake. Thankfully for me the shelter contacted Kitty Connection and I am now in a great foster home! My foster mom lets me sleep in the bed with her and I shower her with kisses every morning! It’s our special thing. I love to play with the dog that lives in the house. I’m 4lbs and he is 104lbs but he is fun and very interested in me!
I still get scared. Sometimes my foster mom calls my name and I get nervous – I don’t know if I did something wrong so I walk slowly and lower my head. She of course calls me her baby which makes me feel safe again and my tail stats wagging so hard that my butt shakes! I love food and am food motivated! I get the best treats in the world when I do my business outside and I love positive encouragement.
I’m looking for a home where I can feel safe. Might be best for kids to be over 8 because I get afraid of unpredictable behavior. I would like a nice quiet environment as I settle in, but I would never be opposed to a buddy! I need to continue my training and the best reward I can receive is a snuggle on your lap!
