Quagmire is an eight-month-old male kitten, gray tabby and white, who’s giggity giggity cute. He was rescued off the street, where he had to fend for himself against the elements, as a frightened, hungry abandoned stray. It has understandably taken him some time to trust humans, and he still needs to make some progress, but he’s mostly there. If needed, we will provide guidance to assist his adopters in helping him acclimate to his new home. Quagmire is an energetic boy who is full of mischief and loves to play with his foster family. He likes to be pet, but on his terms, and only if you start from under the chin, and he seems to like it more as time passes. He’s frightened of hands coming from above. Unlike most kittens, Quagmire would do best in a home without any other cats, but definitely one in which he will receive lots of attention, playtime and will not be left unaccompanied for long hours. Once he figures out he’s your boy, he will become a devoted companion for life. Oh, and he’s well on his way to becoming a big boy.

He has been neutered, vaccinated as age-appropriate, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. In Quagmire’s case. That adoption fee has been reduced by nearly half due to his foster family moving in a few days. We want to get him adopted into his new home quickly rather than him going through an unnecessary additional transition. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. He’s being fostered in Cambridge. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits.
