Itsy & Bitsy (Courtesy Post)

Every once in a while, we as rescuers come across situations that make us shake our heads even more than usual.  Itsy and Bitsy came from one of those situations. Once upon a time, there was a woman who had 11 kittens. For some reason, she thought it would be a good idea to keep those kittens in dog cages –2-3 per cage– in her garage for the first year of their lives.  They are all out, and they are all doing surprisingly well.  Itsy and Bitsy are among them.  Itsy and Bitsy shown themselves to have personalities as sweet as any cats you’re ever likely to meet.  Despite their rough start, they’re playful, friendly, and wonderfully well adjusted. Itsy and Bitsy love attention, enjoy playtime, and quickly bond with those who show kindness.  They love human company and purr warmly when pet.  They do not need to be adopted together, although they certainly can be.  We have not observed her with dogs or kids; we think they’d do well with dogs or kids who know how to treat cats respectfully.  They should be adopted into an interactive home where they’ll get lots of attention and play time. While they certainly get along with each other, they do not appear to be so closely bonded to each other that they could not be adopted separately.  Itsy and Bitsy are adorable little sweethearts with personalities that will fill any home with warmth, love, and fun.  They’re an easy pair who would be suitable for a first-time adopter.

Itsy and Bitsy have been spayed, are current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive their full medical records. They’re being fostered in Allston. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits.  There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. A small discount will apply to adopting more than one cat. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters.
