Elsa is a beautiful long-haired white girl, about a year old, who shows definite signs of being a Maine Coon mix. Elsa has already endured more than any young cat should, including a severe infection to one of her eyes that ultimately required surgical removal, but that has not diminished her gentle spirit in the slightest. She has no special needs because of this. By all accounts., Elsa is sweet, friendly, affectionate, and responds to petting with a gentle purr. We have not yet observed her with kids, dogs or other cats, but we think she’s likely to get along with them if introduced properly. We can certainly give you pointers on how to do that. Like nearly all cats, Elsa would do best adopted into an interactive home where she will get lots of playtime and not be left unaccompanied for long hours. Elsa is ready for a safe, loving home where she can finally be the devoted companion she very much wants to be. She seems to be an easy cat, suitable for a first-time adopter.

Elsa has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive her medical records. She’s being fostered in Somerville. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters.
