Once upon a time, seven-year-old Gracie lived with an elderly person who meant the world to her and for whom she was a devoted companion. Unfortunately, that person passed away, and no one in the family wanted the poor girl, so Gracie’s life was turned upside-down. On top of all this, she has been declawed.
Gracie’s distinctive markings are consistent with her Turkish van ancestry. Like most cats, Gracie would do best in a home in which she won’t be left unaccompanied for long. Gracie is a sedate cat who enjoys petting and will affectionately curl up next to you for petting and purrs. Like many declawed cats, Gracie is not particularly active and would benefit from play time. Her lack of claws make her frightened around other cats. Given what she has been through, she is understandably shy at first, but warms up once trust has been earned. She will make some lucky person a devoted companion for life.

She has been spayed, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, treated for worms and fleas, tested for internal parasites, and is current on vaccinations. Her adopter will receive her medical records, including that which reflects recent dental work, which means future dental issues are unlikely. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. She’s being fostered in Andover. Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to her and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to safercats11@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide for her as we try to match people with the right cats.

“Courtesy Posts” are animals who are NOT in Kitty Connection’s possession, but we are helping to find their forever homes! If you can and will commit to providing a safe, loving home: please submit a pre-adoption application (unless otherwise noted in the description above).
