Meet Tommy, a one year-old boy with a tender heart and a story that will touch yours. Tommy was found abandoned, terrified, and plaintively meowing outside the door of the residence where he had lived after being left behind by the person he loved most. Tommy didn’t understand why his world had suddenly changed.
With patience and kindness, his foster mom has helped him rediscover trust, and now he’s blossomed into a sweet, affectionate companion. Tommy loves gentle attention and shows his affection with adorable “nose boops” that would melt anyone’s heart. He’s ready to leave his painful past behind and start a new chapter with someone who will never leave him again.
We haven’t seen him around other cats, dogs, or children yet, but we believe he’d likely do well with respectful kids who know how to interact gently with cats. Tommy would do best in an interactive home where he isn’t left alone for long hours. He appears to be an easy boy who would be suitable for a first-time adopter looking for a loving companion for life.

Tommy has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his full medical records. He’s being fostered in Cambridge. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps rescuers match cats with the right adopters.

“Courtesy Posts” are animals who are NOT in Kitty Connection’s possession, but we are helping to find their forever homes! If you can and will commit to providing a safe, loving home: please submit a pre-adoption application (unless otherwise noted in the description above).
