Jordan (Courtesy Post)

Meet Jordan, a two-year-old brown tabby whose gentle spirit is finally shining through after a difficult chapter in his life. When the person he loved was hospitalized, Jordan and the other cats in his home suddenly found themselves without the comfort and security they’d always known. Heartbroken and confused, he shut down for weeks—quiet, withdrawn, and unsure of the world around him.  (Don’t EVER let anyone tell you that cats don’t love their people!)  With the patience and kindness of his foster mom, Jordan has gradually rebounded. His true personality is now emerging: a tender, sensitive boy who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved again.  He purrs up a storm when getting a belly rub and loves to play with pole toys, but there are also times when he’s still timid, so his adopter will have to give him patience and lots of TLC. We haven’t observed him around dogs or children, but we believe he’d likely do well with respectful kids who know how to interact gently with cats. Jordan would do best in an interactive home where he isn’t left alone for long hours, preferably with another feline buddy.  He appears to be an easy boy who would be suitable for a first-time adopter looking for a loving companion for life.

Jordan has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his full medical records. He’s being fostered in Charlestown. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits.  There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need. Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting.  Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps rescuers match cats with the right adopters.
