My name is Ruby. I came to Kitty Connection from outside where I had my baby. Kitty Connection found a great family to love her and now it’s my turn.

I’m looking for a very special person.

You see I’m quite shy. I don’t feel comfortable being touched and will retreat if you try.

When you are with me I might just stay on the other side of the room or run away from you but as soon as another cat comes into the room I get brave and I feel more relaxed. I will come out to see what’s up and become more playful.

My foster mom is very gentle with me and enjoys the small steps we make together like petting me with a soft toy. She says even though I’m independent i’m also very sweet and she loves having me with her. She says the way I look at her tells her I’m trying to figure this new world out and makes her so happy to be a part of it.

***Update*** I’m out and about in the house now and I’ve been exploring, eating with the other cats, and enjoying the treats my foster mom gives us. I will go up to her for treats but retreat right after.I can’t tell you how long it will take for me to trust, might not ever be a lap cat but if you can enjoy my independence, have the love and patience to let me settle in slowly and have a friendly cat to show me the way then I’d love to meet you.

Unless otherwise noted in the above description, Kitty Connection cats have been:

– spayed or neutered
– vaccinated against rabies and distemper
– tested negative for FIV and FeLV
– examined by a vet

Adopters will receive their medical records.
