Henry & Harry

Hi my name is Henry. I’m the sweetest little kitten about 6 or 7 weeks old rescued off the streets. I purr when you so much as look at me. The vet had trouble listening to my heart because I was purring so much! I love to play. Belly rubs put me in a love coma. Don’t you just love my smile? My back legs don’t work great and I can’t jump, but my disability doesn’t keep me from running around. I have more vet visits to see if my future will involve the Olympics or Paralympics and to figure out how they can treat my nerve damage.

Hi, my name is Harry. I too love belly rubs. I’m shyer than my brother, but warm up quickly. After two days, I now run to my foster family to play with them. I think my purr is louder than Henry’s, but he disagrees. I guess you can decide.  I play hard with Henry and then we pass out together in a cuddle puddle.

We are getting treated for eye infections and Henry has a consult for his spine and then we will be ready for our forever home. ***See the last video below for an update on Henry’s walking!***

Look how hard I am working in physical therapy with my foster mom to strengthen my back legs. I’ve already made some progress. As you can see, I’m now able to walk more upright with my belly off of the floor.

Here’s a glimpse of our training regimen. I chase toys with my back legs partially supported to help me move faster and learn to support my body weight on my back legs. We also work on kicking to strengthen the belly muscles that keep my feet underneath me when I walk.

Look at Henry go! Henry was trapped from a feral colony when he was 6-7 weeks old and has a spinal cord injury.  He could barely get his belly off the ground when he walked a month ago. Now he even jumps a bit and has started using the litter box.

This sweetest and happiest of boys is just about ready for adoption, along with his brother Harry! If you are looking for a kitten with a purr as loud as a lawnmower, who will purr while kids dress him up, and with a heart shaped nose, he’s your boy!

Unless otherwise noted in the above description, Kitty Connection cats have been:

– spayed or neutered
– vaccinated against rabies and distemper
– tested negative for FIV and FeLV
– examined by a vet

Adopters will receive their medical records.
