I may not be one for chasing toys, but give me a soft brush or a warm hand, and I’ll be the happiest cat in the room. I am doing fine by myself but I also love being petted—so much so that sometimes I find myself nudging your hand like I’m the one doing the petting! I wasn’t always out in the yard. I had a home once, and you can tell—I’m too comfortable with people, too affectionate, too polite to be a stranger to love. Somehow, I lost that home. But I haven’t lost my trust in humans. I never bite or scratch. I don’t ask for much—just your company, some quiet affection, and a soft place to rest.
