What we have here is a sort of odd-couple bonded pair between a kitten and an adult. Tuxedo boy Taffy, about 4-5 months old, is as cute a kitten as anyone could ever hope for. He was rescued off the street as a frightened, hungry abandoned stray. Six-year-old Laffy is a grey-and-white boy who came out of a hoarding situation where he did not receive much human attention, and reclusively hid in his foster home until playful, cuddly Taffy came along. Laffy took to the little guy quickly, adopting the role of a nurturing uncle: watching over him, rough-housing with him, and generally looking after him. In turn, Taffy helped Laffy come out of his shell and gradually accept more human interaction to the point where he’s fine hanging out and playing with people. He sees little purring machine Taffy enjoy being pet, which has helped Laffy’s caring nature emerge. It’s quite touching to see. We haven’t observed them with children or dogs. We think they would do well with children who are mature enough to treat cats respectfully and understand their dynamic.
These boys should be adopted into an interactive home where they’ll get lots of play and attention, and it would be best if they were the only cats in their adoptive home. They’d be an excellent pair for an adopter who wants a friendly little kitten, and is willing to be patient with Laffy as he adjusts more slowly. Because they are bonded to each other, they must be adopted together.

They have been neutered, are current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Their adopter will receive their medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. Their adoption fee has been reduced to a mere $325– a bargain for a pair of new family members. They’re being fostered in Boston. Please inquire via email to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com and include your phone number for a faster response.
