Socks

Hey there! My name is Socks and I’m a shy 5-year old male cat. I was found in the street, so it takes me a bit to warm up to new people. When my foster mom first met me, I was sad and seeking comfort in my litter box at the shelter. She had to take me to a safe and quiet place to help me open up.

And what do you know –  it only took me a couple of hours to get comfortable at my new place and start purring and giving her head butts. You should see me now, roaming confidently around my room, climbing my cat tree, giving my foster mom leg rubs and even playing with some toys! I love chin and head scratches, just please be patient with me because all the different noises and gestures still scare me a bit. I promise, I am the sweetest boy, I am just overwhelmed and still learning to trust people. I think I will do best with someone who is calm and patient and will let me settle in at my own pace. I do hope I get to have some cat friends, though! When I see my foster mom’s cats through the door crack, I chirp at them to greet them. They don’t seem too thrilled to have me there, though, because they keep huffing and puffing at me, but it’s because they’ve never met another cat! Can you believe it?! It doesn’t faze me at all, because I know it’s only until they get to know me. After all, I’m the sweetest boy!

Oh, and most importantly, if you take me home with you, you are not only going to have a great companion, who will snuggle next to you to watch movies together, but you will also have the cutest air-biscuits maker! I make my foster mom tear up with pride as soon as I get into biscuit-making mood, so I must be very good at it! She also says I have the cutest smile she’s ever seen. I guess, you can be the judge of that. I’m looking forward to meeting my forever family. I hope that’s you!
