Adoption pending! Hola! My name is Leo and I’m a 4-year-old Chihuahua. My owner surrendered me because she is having a baby any day. I was so looking forward to loving my new brother or sister, that I was devastated when I was surrendered, not knowing what was going on. A nice volunteer at KC took me to her home to take care of me while I await my forever humans. I was pretty scared for the first couple of days. On top of that, I tried to greet the two female cats that live in the house and they took a paw swipe at me! Hey Kitty! I was just trying to be polite and greet you!
My foster mom is really nice to me and I’ve realized I’m going to be okay. To show my appreciation, I am making sure to keep her good company and the house safe by alerting of any suspicious activity. I only bark when it is absolutely necessary tough!
When I see the leash get so excited to be going outside that I will turn in circles and head-butt the floor. I thrive when I go for walks. I will strut my stuff right by your side. I’ve even turned a few heads, just sayin’! Exercise is also good for me because I am trying to lose weight to look my best. I am a social guy and like people’s company. I also get along with other dogs and nice kitty-cats.
