Mimi

My name is Mimi and I’m a sleek, panther-like black female, about eight years old. You can see from my pictures that I have quite a distinctive, elegant appearance. I used to live in a home with my feline sister and my human family, which included older children. I used to play with them a lot and even follow them from room to room. Unfortunately, sometimes I played with my sister a little too roughly and I injured her by mistake. I didn’t mean to! For that, they put me in a kill shelter.  Just in time, a rescuer found out and helped me to get me out before I got put down. I’m still a bit shaken up by this. Who wouldn’t be?

I like getting petted, but sometimes, I get overstimulated by it, so I might respond with a little swat if I am petted too much. If you’ve ever had a cat who gets overstimulated, you know this is not such a big deal; it’s just a cat’s way of saying, “I’ve had enough for now.”

Because I play rough sometimes, my foster thinks I would do best in a home without small children or other animals. Really, the best thing for me would be a home with people who will love me as much as I love them.
