Cherry was originally named Hippo. He was discovered living under a porch and brought to Kitty Connection by a local animal control officer. He was between 10 and 12 when he came to us, and his fur was so severely matted that he was given a lion’s cut. Hippo absolutely loved to be petted, and would roll over to have his belly rubbed.
Hippo’s foster mom Rita fell in love with Hippo and decided to permanently adopt him, and gave him a much better name – Cherry.
Sadly, Cherry passed away in December 2017. He will be very missed by his family.
