Millie

My name is Millie and I am a 7 year old gal with looking for a family that will give me years of love! You see, I was previously used for breeding and all of the litters took a toll on my body. I wasn’t loved, I was used to make money a couple times a year for many years. When I was not breeding my life was contained in an outdoor kennel 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Rain or shine, snow or heat. When I came to Kitty Connection my spirit was not broken – these wonderful people looked into my eyes and I knew I was safe, would be loved and would never have to worry again. Then my heartworm test came back positive. Many AWESOME people who love dogs just like me made it possible for me to get the treatment that would save my life. It was a tough go for a couple of months because I needed to stay quiet and still and let the medicine work. And it did!

So I am ready for my life to begin! Let me tell you how awesome it is when you rescue an older dog! I am crate trained and will often go right into my crate to snuggle up and take a nap. Actually I am a very LOW maintenance dog. All I really want to do is eat, sleep and be snuggled. I will have one little burst of energy each day where I might want to play a bit…I have no bad habits – I’m not a chewer except on my nyla-bone and chew toys. I don’t: scratch, jump, bark at strangers or get excited around other dogs. I have great leash manners. I am good eater and have polite manners. I love people and am very good with kids. I am best in a home with no cat. I do well with other dogs but would make a great only pet because I am such a snuggle bug and just love being on the couch with you. I can make another dog feel that I am mozzing in on their territory. I love to take rides in the care and at 7 I still enjoy going for a great walk with you.

I do have a few quirks: I have the ability to go up and down stairs but I don’t like to especially going to the basement or walking on hardwood. It is part of my scarry past and I am sure with patience I could begin to overcome this fear. I do fine with a few stairs outside. I (like most Pitties) hate the cold and the rain. But I am completely house broken so I will run, squint my eyes, do my business and run right back to the house. I HATE loud noises and yelling more than I HATE bad weather. You may notice that I will shy away if your hand moves to quickly but with time I will learn that your love means I will never be a victim of abuse again. Let me show you how much I have to offer…..

I am spayed and up-to-date of vaccinations.
