In Memory of Burrito, July 2009

Little Burrito was only with us for three weeks, but he had a tough little spirit and he warmed the hearts of everyone he came into contact with. He was found outside by a caring individual who contacted Kitty Connection and cared for him until he could be united with a surrogate mom. Cheri — a mother cat of two — took him under her paw as if he was her own kitten and she nursed him, groomed and loved him as much as she could. He had two siblings — Chase and Callie — who were jealous at first of little Burrito and the attention he was getting. But then they accepted him and they would all cuddle together and nurse together. Sadly, Burrito fell ill along with his family members about 6 days ago. Though his family members are recovering, little Burrito was much smaller and more fragile and he succumbed to his illness on the morning of July 6. He went through a lot in his short life but he was tough little kitten who kept on fighting and he will remain in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of meeting him.
